These past few weeks have been a little tough – my boyfriend and I have had pretty much opposite schedules, and very little time to spend together. Typically as I’m getting home, he’s putting his shoes on to go to work. I’ve spent a lot more time alone lately, and it’s allowed me to start up some new hobbies of my own.
I’ve recently taken up weaving on my nights alone, after seeing a tutorial on Smile and Wave, and I gotta say, I’m pretty into it. I can put on a movie in the background, and just create something that I love. It’s so soothing, and has really allowed me to slow down and tune out the things in my life that have been stressing me out. Work has been draining, and I really miss my dog, Mops, but when I’m weaving I get to just let all of that fade away. I’m considering selling some of them soon, so hopefully you guys will get a look at what I’ve been up to!
As for what I’m wearing, this dress is one of my new favs. It’s been a little too hot to wear it lately, but I still managed to throw it on for a few hours. I found it for $10 at a flea market, and I think it’s handmade. I paired it with my new Free People clogs and my Wessley NYC bucket bag for a fun date-night outfit (if I get to go on a date night anytime soon!). I broke a rule by not matching my bag to my shoes, but I’ve never set much stock by that rule. Wear what you love!
