Yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to explore a small riverbed/hiking trail near his new house. We have been driving past a very pretty part of it for a few weeks now and finally found the time to park, get out, and explore.
I wear heels most days, so it was no surprise to either of us that I happened to be wearing super inappropriate gear for a hike – but I managed somehow. Note to self: start keeping flats in my trunk! At least I had my new hat to shield my eyes from the setting sun. I found it for $7 earlier this week and have been aching to create an outfit around it. I paired it with these See By Chloe wide leg jeans and a simple teeshirt for a 70s vibe.
We had a great time walking around, talking about our day and catching up. My boyfriend and I live about 45 minutes apart from each other, and while that’s not a long distance relationship, it can sometimes feel that way. We talk on the phone regularly, but there’s no substitute for being together in person. It was a nice treat to be able to have a log conversation in such a peaceful place.
(apologies for the photo quality, these are from my phone).
