Late spring in Echo Park. The days have been getting longer, and it’s been a good chance for neighborhood walks when the sun starts sinking. We stroll past old three-story houses from the early 1900s and smell the jasmine growing on the fences. It’s the perfect end to our work days, and sometimes we bring the camera along if I happen to be dressed presentably (not always a given when you work from home). When Eric and I were shooting these photos, the cutest little cat strolled up, and basically demanded to be in every shot. Neither of us minded, and I think he was the best accessory to this look. I love a good pajama-esque shirt. It’s the perfect combination of menswear-chic, and I find that they fit so well with my collection of denim. I’ve started collecting a few long-sleeve pajama blouses, but was wanting something more Summer appropriate when I found this tie-waist number from Grana. I discovered Grana last year as a great go-to for silk pieces, and while this shirt is cotton, it feels just as luxe. It’s the perfect lightweight blouse for warmer weather, and I can already imagine styling it with a high waist skirt when the temperatures heat up. But for now I paired it with some simple high rise ankle crop denim, sky high heels (that I admittedly didn’t wear for our whole walk), and this leather bucket bag that has become my new go-to. Just big enough to fit my camera, but not so big that I lose everything in the bottom of it.
